Given the choice of anyone in the world, whom would you want as a dinner guest?
I would absolutely love to have dinner with Paulo Coelho. It’s on my bucket list, actually. I think he is a magical human being who knows how to harness his spiritual power. His book, The Alchemist, changed my life.
Would you like to be famous? In what way?
I actually have no interest in becoming famous. I almost carry an unhealthy fear of it because I am such a private person. I think that’s why it’s taken me so long to own my work and put it out to the world. So… not famous. Wealthy, sure. But famous is not the goal. I’ll leave that up to God and the Universe, may they have it their way….
Before making a telephone call, do you ever rehearse what you are going to say? Why?
Sometimes, I do. It depends on the severity of the call. I can get really nervous and say awkward things if I don’t practice.
What would constitute a perfect day for you?
A perfect day for me is somehow steeped in nature and coziness. So, if I could do something in nature like horseback riding or taking a nature walk or feeding elephants or jumping in a pile of leaves or apple picking or even ATV riding…and then come home eat really good food and cozy up in really comfortable clothes while watching a sunset or Real Housewives of Atlanta….then that would be perfect.
For what in your life do you feel most grateful?
I feel most grateful for my family and the connection I have with God. No matter what I’ve been through in life, I have always been called back to these two entities, my foundation.
If you could wake up tomorrow having gained any one quality or ability, what would it be?
I want to gain the ability to teleport because I’m afraid to fly on airplanes. I mean, I still do it- but I don’t have a pleasant experience. What I’m saying is that I would invest loads of money into the real life creation of Floo Powder, so I could get to faraway lands without getting on a plane.
Is there something you’ve dreamed of doing for a long time? Why haven’t you done it?
Yeah, you know- I’ve always wanted to become a professional aerial artist. I’ve been doing it off and on for years, but I had to stop because of a back injury. I even got a part time job at an aerial studio once, but then I was fired. So, there’s that. I want to get back into it, though, because it’s such a pretty art form and I would love to be able to teach my kids (if I choose to have them one day.)
What do you value most in a friendship?
I value authenticity and the ears of a good listener in a friendship. I want to be able to talk to you about anything because you understand that we are growing together. Sometimes, we will be celebrating each other and other times, we will be nurturing each other’s growth to be better people.
When did you last sing to yourself?
I sing to myself everyday- is that a joke?
